400 Fairview iPad App wins 2014 Communicator Award

Over the last year we have blogged about the 400 Fairview app several times, including a video demoing the killer features of the immersive panoramic experience on the ground floor.  The app is conceived as a tool to help brokers take potential tenants through Skanska’s 400 Fairview building located in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood.

2014 Communicator Award Winners Announced

The app is one of the first of its kind and is innovative in its approach to interactive immersive visualization. This past spring the judges of this years Communicator Awards agreed.  The Skanska 400 Fairview app won in the Business Mobile Application category along with other winners including, Mercedes-Benz Accessories A-Class AR App, Canon U.S.A., Inc. C1+ Augmented Reality app and Autodesk, Inc. Line//Shape//Space App.

The Future ‘Play Your Project’

We are extremely excited about this recognition because it justifies the huge potential for mobile apps that give users the ability to immerse themselves directly into built and unbuilt environments.  We are currently working on a prototype app for the iPad that will allow users to ‘Play their Project’, bringing video game technology into the Real Estate Market and design process.  As soon as it ready to demo we will let you know.
